PhantomBuster Alternative for Lead Lists from Google Maps, Directories and Websites

PhantomBuster is built for LinkedIn and social outreach and bills by execution hours and slots. If your lead lists come from Google Maps, industry directories, job boards and company websites, WebRobot is the better buy: describe the list in one sentence and it delivers 10,000 records a month to Google Sheets, Excel or your CRM for $79, with no hours to ration and no LinkedIn account at risk.

Execution hours against records, the same lead list on both meters

A territory list of 4,000 businesses refreshed every month, with one visit to each company website. On PhantomBuster the clock is the limit. On WebRobot the only number is rows.

Fair play

When you should stay on PhantomBuster

If one of these describes your pipeline, keep it. We would rather you buy the right tool.

Stay if 01

LinkedIn-led outbound

Your reps prospect in Sales Navigator, send connection requests and run follow-ups from the same tool. WebRobot does not touch LinkedIn, so it cannot replace that.

Stay if 02

Social selling chains

Post engagers, followers and profile visits on Instagram and X turned into a contact list and a message sequence. That is exactly what Phantoms are built for.

Stay if 03

Big teams on one bill

Every PhantomBuster plan has unlimited users. A twenty-rep floor sharing one Grow account pays less per head than any per-seat tool, ours included.

Switching triggers

Why sales teams search for a PhantomBuster alternative

  1. 1

The hours run out on day 19. A slow Phantom on a rate-limited platform eats execution time without producing more rows, and the only fix is a permanent upgrade.

  2. 2

The qualifying field is not in the Phantom. Whether a contractor offers financing, which software a clinic books with, how many locations a franchise has: that lives on each company website, not in a profile export.

  3. 3

A rep account got restricted. After one warning from LinkedIn, many teams move list building to sources that need no personal login and keep LinkedIn for human conversations.

  4. 4

An agency outgrew 5 slots. One list per client fills Start in a week. Grow at $159 fixes slots, but the lists themselves are often plain directory and Maps exports.

Worked bills

What three lead-list jobs cost on each tool

PhantomBuster math uses the plan whose hours and slots fit the job. WebRobot math uses the plan whose record allowance covers it.
Job PhantomBuster WebRobot Better buy
One SDR: weekly Sales Navigator export, email enrichment, message sequence Start $69 covers it Not built for LinkedIn PhantomBuster
4,000 HVAC and plumbing companies in Texas from Google Maps, refreshed monthly, plus financing and online booking read from each website Maps export fits on Start, but the two website fields are not a Phantom, so they become manual work or custom code 4,000 listing rows plus 4,000 website rows = 8,000 records: Launch $79 WebRobot
Agency with 10 clients: a directory or association member list per client, refreshed daily, delivered to each client's sheet 10 live automations need Grow at $159 for the slots 10 robots and up to 100,000 rows: Scale $249, with change alerts to Slack Grow if the lists are LinkedIn; Scale if they are directories and websites

The split is about sources, not price. When the list starts on LinkedIn, PhantomBuster is the tool. When it starts on the open web, a scraper that reads any site and keeps the columns you name is cheaper than the hours and the manual research it replaces. Our lead scraper for B2B lists shows the same jobs in more detail, and the Google Maps scraper covers local territory lists.

How to move your open-web lists off PhantomBuster

Keep PhantomBuster for LinkedIn if you use it there. Move only the lists that start on websites, maps and directories.

1

Sort your Phantoms

Split last month's automations into LinkedIn and everything else. The second group is what moves.

2

Write the list in a sentence

"Every HVAC company within 25 miles of Dallas on Google Maps with phone, website and rating, then from each website whether they offer financing."

3

Point it at the same sheet

Deliver to the Google Sheet or CRM import the Phantom fed. Check twenty rows against your last export.

4

Schedule it

Daily on Launch, hourly with Slack change alerts on Scale. Freed-up hours and slots go back to LinkedIn work.

Lists that sit behind a partner or supplier login move to the web screen scraping tool, hiring signals to the job scraper, and anything you want in a spreadsheet every morning to web scraping into Google Sheets.

FAQ

PhantomBuster alternative questions buyers ask

It depends on where your leads come from. If the pipeline runs on LinkedIn messages and connection requests, a LinkedIn-native outreach tool is the closer swap. If you mostly export lists from Google Maps, directories, job boards and company websites, WebRobot is the better fit: you describe the list in a sentence and get 10,000 scheduled records a month for $79, with no execution hours to ration.

For website and directory lists, yes. PhantomBuster Start costs $69 a month for 20 execution hours and 5 slots, and when the hours run out the automations pause. WebRobot Launch costs $79 a month, or $39 a month billed yearly, for 10,000 records on a daily schedule. Per-record tools like Outscraper are cheaper still for one-off Google Maps pulls.

PhantomBuster runs through your own logged-in LinkedIn session and recommends conservative daily limits. LinkedIn's User Agreement still prohibits scraping and automated activity, and LinkedIn can restrict accounts that trip its checks. The risk sits with the account owner, whichever tool you use. Lists built from the open web carry none of that account risk.

The usual reasons are execution hours running out mid-month, too few slots for an agency with many client lists, LinkedIn account restrictions, and Phantoms that only return a fixed set of fields. Teams whose lists come from websites and maps often find they are paying for LinkedIn-grade tooling they barely use.

No, and we say so plainly. WebRobot is not built for LinkedIn and we do not recommend scraping it. It reads public websites, Google Maps, directories, marketplaces, job boards and portals you have your own login for, then delivers the rows to Google Sheets, Excel, CSV or the REST API on a schedule.

It is worth it when your outbound lives on LinkedIn, Sales Navigator and social platforms and you want ready-made chains that find, enrich and message. It is less of a fit when you need custom columns from websites on a fixed schedule, because you pay for hours, slots and credit pools instead of the rows you actually keep.

No ongoing free plan. There is a 14-day trial with 2 hours of execution time and exports limited to 10 rows, which shows a Phantom working but does not produce a usable list. Free open-source scrapers exist, but they need a developer to build, host and repair them, which is the cost most sales teams are trying to avoid.
