Apify Pricing in 2026: Apify Pricing Plans, Compute Unit Costs and What Apify Costs per Month

9 min read

Apify costs $19 per month on Starter, $199 on Scale and $999 on Business, or about 10 percent less billed annually. A free plan gives $5 of usage a month. The subscription is prepaid credit, not a flat fee: compute units ($0.13 to $0.20 each), proxies and paid Actors draw it down, and anything past the balance bills as you go. So your real Apify cost is set by usage, not by the plan name.

The numbers

Apify pricing plans for 2026

Four self-serve plans and a custom Enterprise tier. The monthly fee on each one comes back to you as the same dollar amount of prepaid platform usage, which is the detail most price summaries leave out.
Plan Billed monthly Billed annually Prepaid usage Compute unit Actor RAM Concurrent runs Support
Free $0 $0 $5 a month $0.20 16 GB 5 Community
Starter $19 about $17 a month $19 a month $0.20 64 GB 32 Chat
Scale $199 about $179 a month $199 a month $0.16 256 GB 128 Priority chat
Business $999 about $899 a month $999 a month $0.13 512 GB 256 Account manager
Enterprise Custom quote: custom limits and unit prices, SLAs on delivered data, a dedicated team

Starter dropped to $19 from the $29 many older reviews still quote, and the annual toggle takes roughly 10 percent off every paid plan. Paid plans also earn a Bronze, Silver or Gold discount on Apify Store Actors. Prices are in US dollars and do change, so confirm on apify.com/pricing before you commit to a year.

The meter

How does Apify pricing work?

Apify pricing works like a phone plan with a data allowance. You pay a monthly fee, get the same amount back as usage credit, and everything you run spends that credit at the rates of your plan.

Meter 01

Compute units

One compute unit is 1 GB of RAM for one hour. A browser-based Actor set to 4 GB that runs for 30 minutes uses 2 units, or $0.40 on Starter. The same job on a slow, heavily scripted site can run three times longer and cost three times as much, with no change on your side.

Meter 02

Store Actor fees

Most people start with a ready-made Actor from Apify Store. Many bill per result or per event on top of, or instead of, compute, and some are rented monthly. Each Actor sets its own price, so two Google Maps scrapers can cost very different amounts for the same thousand places.

Meter 03

Proxies, storage, transfer

Residential proxy traffic bills per GB, Google search results per 1,000, and datasets, key-value stores and request queues bill for storage time and reads and writes. These are small per unit and easy to forget until a large crawl stores and moves a lot of data.

Worked bill A · Starter

A daily competitor price check

One Actor at 4 GB runs 30 minutes a day: 60 compute units a month, $12. The retailer blocks datacenter IPs, so it pulls 2 GB of residential traffic at $8 per GB, $16. Usage totals $28 against $19 of prepaid credit, and the month costs about $28. List prices only; page weight and run time will move your figure.

Worked bill B · Scale

A team running a dozen scrapers

1,000 compute units at $0.16 is $160, and 20 GB of residential proxy traffic at $7.50 is $150. Usage of $310 against $199 of prepaid credit means a bill of about $310 before any per-result Actor fees. The plan price is the floor of the invoice, not the ceiling.

The number that does not appear on any pricing page is engineering time. Custom Actors are code: someone writes them, bumps memory when runs time out, and fixes selectors when a target site ships a redesign. If Actor output lands in a warehouse, a data lineage map shows which dashboards go stale when one of those runs fails, but the repair itself is still a developer task. Our breakdown of what web scraping really costs puts that hidden line next to the vendor fees.

Plan choice

Which Apify plan do you need?

Pick by concurrency and unit price, not by the prepaid amount. The credit is yours either way.

Free · $0

Testing only

$5 buys about 25 compute units. Enough to confirm a Store Actor returns the fields you need before paying for anything.

Starter · $19

One or two jobs

A solo developer or analyst with a few scheduled runs. Expect overage once residential proxies enter the picture, as worked bill A shows.

Scale · $199

Production pipelines

The break-even point: once usage passes roughly $200 a month, the 20 percent lower compute price and cheaper proxies pay for the jump from Starter.

Business · $999

Heavy, parallel crawls

256 concurrent runs, $0.13 compute and an account manager. Worth it when monthly usage already runs near $1,000 on Scale.

Decision

Is Apify worth it, and what the same job costs on WebRobot

Apify is the stronger buy for engineers. A flat-priced agent is usually the cheaper buy for a business team that wants rows, not infrastructure.

Stay on Apify when

You have developers who want to write, host and schedule their own code, you need 100 or more runs in parallel, or a maintained Store Actor already covers your source. At $19 with a real API and 32 concurrent runs, nothing we sell is cheaper for that profile.

Pick a flat-priced agent when

Finance wants the same number every month, the data sits behind a login or a search form, or nobody on the team writes JavaScript. The Apify alternative comparison covers the switch in detail, and the WebRobot pricing page lists every plan limit.

FAQ

Apify pricing questions

Apify Starter costs $19 per month, Scale $199 per month and Business $999 per month, each about 10 percent less billed annually ($17, $179 and $899). Each fee is prepaid platform usage of the same amount. Compute units, proxies, storage and paid Store Actors draw that balance down, and anything beyond it is billed pay as you go.

Apify pricing is a subscription that buys prepaid usage, plus metered consumption. Running an Actor burns compute units (1 GB of RAM for one hour), proxies bill per GB, per IP or per 1,000 requests, and many Store Actors charge per result or per event. Higher plans lower the unit prices and raise RAM and concurrency limits.

Apify has a free plan with $5 of prepaid usage each month, no credit card, 16 GB of Actor RAM, 5 concurrent runs, community support and limited access to rented Actors. $5 covers about 25 compute units at $0.20 each, which is enough to test an Actor, not to run a daily production job.

A compute unit is Apify's measure of Actor runtime: 1 GB of RAM used for one hour. An Actor with 4 GB running for 30 minutes uses 2 compute units. The price is $0.20 per unit on Free and Starter, $0.16 on Scale and $0.13 on Business, so memory settings and run length drive the bill.

Apify costs money once you run real workloads. Signing up and testing is free on the $5 monthly allowance, but scheduled scrapes, residential proxies and paid Store Actors quickly exceed it. Most business use lands on Starter at $19 or Scale at $199 per month, plus whatever usage runs past the prepaid balance.

Apify is worth it for developers who want to write, host and schedule their own scrapers, or who find a well-maintained Store Actor for their exact source. It is less attractive for business teams that want a fixed invoice, because the bill moves with runtime, memory, proxy traffic and per-result Actor fees.
