Privacy Policy

This policy explains what WebRobot collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and how you get it deleted. It covers two different things: the account data we hold about you, and the web data your robots extract for you. We treat those very differently.

What we collect and why

Two categories, kept separate.

Category	What it is	Why we have it
Account data	Your email address, and the name and company you choose to give us.	To create your account, sign you in, and contact you about the service.
Billing data	Plan, billing cycle, and payment records. Card details are handled by our payment processor, not stored by us.	To charge the correct plan and issue receipts.
Robot configuration	The instructions you write, the target URLs, the schedule, and any credentials you supply for sites your robot signs into.	To run your robots. Credentials are encrypted and used only to run your own jobs.
Extracted data	The rows your robots pull from the websites you point them at.	To deliver the results to you. This is your data, held on your behalf.
Usage and diagnostics	Log records of runs, errors, IP address, browser and device type.	To keep the service running, debug failures, and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your account data or the data your robots extract. There is no advertising business here to feed.

We do not resell your results

The rows your robots extract are yours. We do not pool them, resell them, or publish them as a dataset.

COMMITMENT 3

Access is limited

Staff access to customer data is on a least-privilege basis and only for support or to fix a fault you have reported.

How long we keep it, and how to get it deleted

Extracted data is kept so you can download it and so scheduled runs can be compared over time. You can delete a robot and its stored results at any time from your account, and deletion removes the rows from active storage.

If you cancel, your account data and extracted results are deleted after a short grace period, which exists so an accidental cancellation does not destroy your work. Ask us to delete everything immediately and we will.

If you are covered by the GDPR or the CCPA and CPRA, you can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will action the request. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising these rights.

One important point about the data you extract: if you instruct a robot to collect personal data about other people, you are the controller of that data and you are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect it. Cookies and the companies that help us run this

We use cookies that are necessary to sign you in and keep your session working, plus basic analytics to understand which pages people read. We do not run advertising trackers on this site.

We rely on a small number of subprocessors to operate the service, including cloud hosting, a payment processor, and an email delivery provider. They are bound to handle data only on our instructions. If you need the current list for a vendor review, ask us at [email protected] and we will send it.

If we ever change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you rather than quietly editing this page.
