You run fewer than three crawls at the same time, you are happy downloading a CSV or pulling results with the export API, and your task count stays well under 100. Most solo analysts and small ecommerce teams never outgrow it on capacity.
Results must land in Google Drive, Dropbox or S3 without a manual step, another system has to start and stop tasks through the API, or a nightly job fans out across dozens of sites at once. The API requirement alone pushes a lot of engineering-adjacent teams up a tier.

A worked example, using list prices only. A pricing analyst on monthly Standard ($83) tracks a few protected retailers, burns 10 GB of residential proxy traffic ($30) and triggers 20,000 CAPTCHA solves ($20 to $30). That month costs $133 to $143, about 60 to 70 percent above the plan price. Your numbers will differ with page weight and how aggressively the sites defend themselves, which is exactly why the bill is hard to forecast. The fee nobody lists is repair time. Octoparse tasks store the path to each element, so when a retailer ships a redesign the task keeps running and quietly returns blank cells. If those rows feed a warehouse, a data freshness and volume monitor will at least tell you the table went thin. Somebody still has to reopen the task and fix it.
