WebRobot

Etsy Scraper to Scrape Etsy Listings, Shops and Reviews, an Etsy Data Scraper for Sellers and Brands

An Etsy scraper turns the shops you compete with into a sheet you can act on: each listing's price and sale price, the shop's total sales, star rating, reviews, favorites and the Bestseller badge, dated every morning. WebRobot does it with an AI agent that reads each page like a shopper. Paste the shops or listings, name the columns, and the rows arrive on schedule.

Built for Etsy sellers sizing up a niche, brands tracking copies of their designs, and agencies running several shops. Flat plans from $79 a month, no per-request meter.

Every rival shop on one sheet, one dated row per listing

On Etsy the signal is slow and quiet. A competing shop's total sales tick up by forty in a week, a listing drops its price during a sale and never raises it back, a new variation appears with your best keyword in the title. None of it shows up unless someone writes it down every day.

Fields

Etsy data you can scrape from listing and shop pages

Everything below is visible to a logged-out shopper. Shop pages carry the totals; listing pages add the price detail, badges and reviews.

Listing

  • Listing ID, title, URL
  • Price and original price during a sale
  • Variations and personalization option
  • Shipping price and estimated delivery

Demand signals

  • Bestseller and Popular now badges
  • "In carts" notice when Etsy shows it
  • Favorites count
  • Listing star rating and review count

Shop

  • Shop name, location, opened year
  • Total sales, the best velocity proxy
  • Active listing count
  • Star Seller status and shop rating

Reviews

  • Star rating and review text
  • Review date and item reviewed
  • Photo attached or not
  • Seller reply, if any

Shop total sales is the number sellers care about most. Etsy does not publish sales per listing, but logging a shop's total every day turns it into a daily sales figure for the whole shop, and pairing it with listing favorites and badges tells you which items carry it. Selling on other marketplaces too? The Amazon scraper and eBay scraper pages cover the same job there, and ecommerce data scraping puts every store in one sheet.

Etsy Open API versus scraping Etsy pages

Etsy runs a real public API, and for many columns it is the cleaner source. Check it first. Here is what it covers and where teams still end up reading pages.

Etsy Open API v3

With an API key, returns active listings (title, price, quantity, tags, materials, favorites), shop details (total sales, active listings, review count, average rating) and reviews.

  • Seller apps are approved almost instantly, but only for your own shop
  • Reading other shops needs a Personal app with a deeper review, at limited scale
  • Per-second and per-day limits apply to each API key
  • You need a developer to call it, store the results and schedule it

Public pages, read by a robot

What a shopper sees on a listing, shop or category page, including what the API leaves out: Bestseller and Popular now badges, sale strike-through prices, the "in carts" notice and delivery estimates.

  • No app review, no code, columns named in plain English
  • Delivered to Sheets, Excel, CSV or JSON on a daily or hourly schedule
  • Etsy's terms restrict scraping without permission, so volume stays modest
  • Works from listing, shop and category pages, not keyword search URLs

Know Etsy's rules before you start

Etsy's Terms of Use say users agree not to crawl, scrape or spider any page of the service without Etsy's express permission. Its robots.txt also asks crawlers to stay out of keyword search URLs, sold item pages and favoriter lists. So: use the Open API wherever it covers your columns, read only public listing, shop and category pages, keep the pace of a person browsing, and never automate a logged-in Etsy account. The wider legal picture is in is web scraping legal.

Procedure

How to scrape Etsy data in four steps

You describe the job once. Each run after that happens on the schedule you set.
  1. 1

    List the shops and listings

Paste the shop URLs you compete with, the listings you want watched, or a category page for your niche. New listings in a watched shop get picked up on the next run.

  2. 2

    Name the columns

"Listing ID, title, price, sale price, badge, favorites, shop sales, rating, reviews." Plain English. You never write a selector.

  3. 3

    Pick the rhythm

Daily is enough for most Etsy niches, since prices and sales totals move slowly. Hourly suits a launch week or a sale event you want to follow closely.

  4. 4

    Get rows and alerts

Rows append to Google Sheets, Excel, CSV or the API. On Scale, Slack or a webhook fires when a rival cuts a price, earns a Bestseller badge or posts a new listing.

Use cases

Who pays for an Etsy product scraper, and what they watch

Etsy sellers sizing up a niche

Before you add a product line, watch the twenty shops already selling it for a month. Daily shop sales, price bands, how often they run sales and which listings hold a Bestseller badge tell you whether the niche pays and at what price. After launch, the same sheet shows when a rival undercuts you and whether it moved their sales.

Sellers with a Shopify store alongside Etsy can watch both with the same robot; the competitor price monitoring page shows the cross-store sheet.

Brands tracking copies

Keep a list of shops that have sold look-alikes and log their listings on a schedule, with titles, prices and the date seen. That log is what Etsy's IP report form asks you to point to.

Agencies running several shops

One sheet per client with the client's listings next to five rivals, so the weekly report is a chart, not an afternoon of copying numbers.

Wholesale and sourcing buyers

Track makers in a category by sales totals and rating before reaching out about wholesale, and see who is growing fastest this quarter.

Print on demand teams

Watch which designs in a category earn badges and favorites week over week, and retire your own listings that stopped moving.

Buyer's table

Best Etsy scraper for a seller or brand team without a developer

The deciding question is who keeps it working. Each option wins for someone.
Option How you pay Where it wins Where it falls short
Etsy Open API No fee, developer time Your own shop data, and other shops once a Personal app is approved No badges, no sale display, no search position; you build the storage, schedule and reports
Chrome extension One-off or small monthly fee A quick export of the page you are looking at Runs only while your browser is open; no schedule, no history
Scraper API or actor Per request or per 1,000 results, plus rendering Developers who want JSON back and will write the rest Parsing, scheduling and the sheet sync are still your code; see Oxylabs pricing and Apify pricing for how the meter adds up
Etsy keyword research tools Monthly subscription Search volume estimates and listing SEO audits Their reports, their fields; you cannot add the columns or shops you care about
WebRobot Flat: $79 or $249 a month Your shops, your listings, your columns, daily or hourly, with alerts and an API Reads public pages at a modest pace, so history starts the day you set it up; not a keyword volume tool

If you want an endpoint for your own code, the web scraping API page shows the same rows as JSON. If you already tried a point-and-click desktop tool, the Octoparse alternative page compares the setup work.

FAQ

Etsy scraper questions, answered

An Etsy scraper is software that reads Etsy listing, shop and category pages and turns them into rows: listing ID, title, price, sale price, shop name, shop sales count, star rating, review count, favorites and badges such as Bestseller. Sellers and brands use one to watch the same shops and listings every day instead of checking them by hand.

You can read the pages any logged-out shopper sees, but Etsy's Terms of Use say users agree not to crawl, scrape or spider any page of the service without Etsy's express permission, and its robots.txt asks crawlers to stay out of keyword search URLs and sold-item pages. Where the official Open API covers your columns, use it first.

Yes. The Etsy Open API v3 returns active listings, shop details and reviews to registered apps with an API key. Seller apps are approved almost instantly but only cover your own shop. Apps that read other shops go through a deeper review, and commercial access for tools other sellers connect to is reviewed manually.

For active listings the Open API returns title, description, price, quantity, tags, materials, favorites count and timestamps. For shops it returns total sales, active listing count, review count and average rating. It does not return where a listing ranks for a search term, and it has no per-listing sold count.

Most start by hand: a bookmark folder of rival shops and a weekly check of their prices and sales totals. Once that list passes a few dozen shops, they move it into a sheet that refreshes on its own, with one dated row per shop or listing, so price cuts, new listings and sales velocity show up as numbers instead of impressions.

Scraper APIs bill per request and usually add credits for JavaScript rendering. Marketplace actors bill per 1,000 results plus compute. Etsy research tools charge a monthly fee for their own fixed reports. WebRobot is flat: Launch is $79 a month for 10,000 records with daily runs, and Scale is $249 a month for 100,000 records with hourly runs and change alerts.

Yes. Every run can land in a Google Sheet, download as Excel or CSV, or come back as JSON from the REST API. Listing IDs stay as text, so long numbers survive when the file opens in Excel, and each run appends a dated row so the sheet turns into a price and sales history.

Brands keep a list of shops and listings that sell look-alikes, check them on a schedule and log price, listing title, photos and the date seen. That log is the evidence Etsy's intellectual property report form asks for. A scheduled robot keeps the log current so the report can be filed the day a copy reappears.
