Rule 01
You pay per delivered record
Bright Data bills records it delivers. Its docs add one catch: records that fail because the input was wrong (a dead URL, a bad parameter) are still billed, so clean your input list first.

Bright Data prices each product separately. The scraper APIs (Web Scraper API, Web Unlocker, SERP API, Crawl API) cost $1.50 per 1,000 records or requests pay as you go, or $499 a month for about 380,000 with $1.30 per 1,000 after that. Residential proxies list at $8 per GB, currently half that on a 3-month promo. Every account gets 5,000 free credits a month, shared across the APIs.

| Managed Services | n/a | n/a | From $1,000 a month minimum, $500 setup per scraper, $4 per 1,000 requests |
Mobile proxies no longer have a public price: the old mobile pricing URL now redirects to the general proxy page. Bright Data's own menu and its llms.txt quote Managed Services "from $1,500" while the pricing page says $1,000, so ask for a written quote. Enterprise pricing on every product is custom.

Rule 01
Bright Data bills records it delivers. Its docs add one catch: records that fail because the input was wrong (a dead URL, a bad parameter) are still billed, so clean your input list first.
Rule 02
The menu says scraper APIs start from $0.75 per 1,000. That is 25% off the top volume rate with a 3-month promo code. Budget on $1.50 to $1.10, not on the banner.
Rule 03
5,000 credits a month (about $7.50 of usage) cover all the APIs together, stop hard when used, do not roll over, and do not apply once you are on a Scale commitment.
Read the table honestly: at 10,000 and 100,000 records Bright Data's invoice is lower than ours. What the $1.50 buys is a record delivered to your code. Scheduling, storage, change detection, Slack alerts and the spreadsheet your pricing team opens are yours to build, and sites outside the prebuilt library mean writing a scraper in Scraper Studio or calling Web Unlocker and parsing HTML yourself. For how other developer APIs meter the same job, see ScrapingBee pricing and Zyte pricing.
Proxies
| Tier | Monthly fee | List per GB | Promo per GB | Included GB shown |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pay as you go | None | $8.00 | $4.00 | n/a |
| Plan 1 | $499 | $7.00 | $3.50 | 141 GB |
| Plan 2 | $999 | $6.00 | $3.00 | 332 GB |
| Plan 3 | $1,999 | $5.00 | $2.50 | 798 GB |
| Over 1 TB | Custom | Quote from sales | ||
At list price, $499 buys about 71 GB, not 141. The page does not say what the plan becomes in month four, so get that in writing before you commit. Residential access also requires Bright Data's identity check (KYC), which can include a video call. Bandwidth is the unpredictable line on any proxy bill: a JavaScript-heavy product page can weigh 2 to 5 MB, so a million page loads can run into terabytes. Teams on usage billing often set up budget alerts on usage-billed tools so a crawl that loops over the weekend does not surprise finance on the 1st.
Fine print
You top up a balance. Pay-as-you-go usage draws it down; auto-recharge is optional. Unverified "limited trial" accounts can top up at most $100 per transaction.
A Scale plan is charged on the 1st, prorated in the first month. Unused volume does not roll over, so a quiet month costs the same as a busy one.
The first deposit is matched dollar for dollar up to $500. Bonus credit lasts 90 days and needs at least $5 of usage a month to stay alive.
Each proxy or API configuration is a zone. The first 50 are free, then $5 a month each. Agencies that give every client its own zone hit this sooner than they expect.
Subscription fees are generally non-refundable, promotional funds never are, and an unjustified chargeback carries a $150 handling fee.
Card, PayPal, Payoneer, Alipay, Google Pay, wire transfer, and AWS Marketplace, which some US companies use to draw down an existing AWS commitment.
Worked bills
Job 01
45,000 records a month from prebuilt Amazon and Walmart scrapers. Pay as you go: 40,000 billable after the free pool, about $60. WebRobot would be Scale at $249. Bright Data wins the invoice; the question is who builds the daily trigger, the price history and the alert. The Amazon scraper page shows the no-code version of this job.
Job 02
Your own scraper calls Web Unlocker 600,000 times a month. The $499 plan covers 383,000, and the other 217,000 cost $1.30 per 1,000, so $781 a month, plus the parser and the engineer who fixes it when a site changes. The $999 plan would be dearer until you pass about 770,000.
Job 03
Bright Data's calculator puts 1,000,000 Web Scraper API records at $1,100. WebRobot Autopilot is $699 a month ($559 yearly) for the same million, with real-time monitors and 15 seats. At this volume the flat plan is the cheaper invoice as well as the simpler one.
The pattern: Bright Data is the cheaper raw input for a team with developers, and the more expensive system once you count the people who turn records into a feed someone uses. The side-by-side on features, setup and who each fits is on the Bright Data alternative page, and the web scraping API page shows how our API returns the same rows. If you are comparing marketplaces of prebuilt scrapers, Apify pricing works the same jobs.
Fit
| Your situation | Better buy |
|---|---|
| Data engineers, high volume, hard targets, need proxies anyway | Bright Data |
| Want a one-time bulk file from a site it already sells as a dataset | Bright Data Datasets ($250 for 100,000 records) |
| Pricing, sales or ops team with no developer, needs a sheet every morning | WebRobot Launch or Scale |
| Needs change alerts in Slack and logins handled, on a fixed monthly invoice | WebRobot Scale ($249) |
| Around a million records a month, flat budget | WebRobot Autopilot ($699) |
Our plans and what each includes are on pricing. If the job is watching competitor prices, start with competitor price monitoring.
