WebRobot

Refund Policy

The short version: a WebRobot payment is final. You can watch a robot extract real rows in the demo before paying, you can stop renewals yourself whenever you like, and money comes back only for a double charge, a proved unauthorised charge or a complete outage.

Effective October 14, 2026

What the fee buys

A plan pays for access to the platform

Each plan is a monthly or yearly subscription, paid in advance, that gives you the robots and the monthly record allowance shown on the pricing page. The fee is for the platform being available to you for the period. It is not a price per run or per exported row, and the whole period opens on its first day whether your robots run every hour or never start.

By subscribing you ask us to start the service immediately. You accept that any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period that could otherwise apply ends once we have begun providing the service at your request.

Exceptions

When a charge is returned

Case What has to be true
Double charge A fault in our billing took two payments for the same period.
Unauthorised charge Your card was used without your permission, you report it within 14 days of the charge, and our records and the payment operator's records confirm it. A claim by itself does not decide it. We may ask you to confirm you have reported the misuse to your card issuer.
Complete outage A confirmed fault on our side made the whole platform unusable for a continuous period, you reported it at the time, and we could not restore it. A target website blocking, changing or going down, slow runs and single failed extractions do not count.

A refund is capped at what you paid for the affected period, goes back only to the card that was charged, and is the whole of our liability for that charge. One refund does not create a right to a second one.

Not covered

Situations that do not qualify

  • Your project ended, you found the data elsewhere, or you changed your mind.
  • Your robots ran little or not at all, or you used only part of the record allowance.
  • A target site blocked, rate limited or redesigned its pages, or returned less data than you hoped.
  • The quality, completeness or usefulness of extracted data for your purpose.
  • A renewal, including one collected after earlier failed attempts.
  • Thinking the plan was a one-off payment. The pricing page, the payment screen, the confirmation email and your workspace all say it renews.
  • Forgetting to cancel before the renewal date, or cancelling right after it.
  • Picking the wrong plan, the wrong billing period or the wrong number of robots.
  • A capability the pricing page does not describe, or that behaves differently from what you expected.
  • The rest of a period after you cancel. Periods, yearly ones included, are never pro-rated.
  • Anyone else using your workspace, including people you shared your login with.

Cancelling

Stopping renewals and failed payments

Cancel from the billing settings of your workspace at any time, without writing to us. Renewals stop at once, your robots and every exported row stay available until the paid period ends, and nothing more is charged. Cancelling does not reverse a payment already taken and is not a refund request.

Until you cancel, the plan renews by itself. When a period starts, access for the whole period is granted and the payment for it becomes due. A declined card is declined by your card issuer, and the payment is then retried over the following days. Those retries collect one unpaid invoice for a period already running; they are not extra charges. Cancelling during the retries stops later renewals, but the amount already due stays due and is not refundable once collected. To avoid the next charge, cancel before the renewal date in your workspace.

Requests and records

How to ask, and what we check against

Email [email protected] from the address on your workspace within 14 days of the charge, naming the date, the amount and the exception you rely on. Later requests and requests sent another way are not reviewed. We handle them in order of arrival, without a promised response time, and do not reopen a declined request.

Creating a workspace means accepting our Terms of Service, which include this policy, and our Privacy Policy. For each subscription we keep the purchase time, the plan and price shown at checkout, your acceptance of the terms, the emails we sent, renewal notices and an activity log of the workspace (sign-ins, robots created and run, exports, billing actions) with the technical details recorded alongside each entry. The payment operator keeps its own record of every charge, including the card's country of issue, where the payment came from and the result of bank authentication such as 3D Secure.

Opening a chargeback without contacting us first breaches our Terms of Service and the workspace is closed permanently. We send the records above to your bank or card issuer.

Subscriptions bought before October 14, 2026 keep the terms in force on their purchase date until their next renewal; from then on this policy applies.
